A Bit More About Me

If you are here reading me, it’s probably because you are curious to know a bit more about what brought me to Life Coaching, Yoga and Movement Direction for theatre and how I understand them.

As a child, I questioned a lot about the world around me and inside me. Following a successful academic path, I graduated as an engineer from the Ecole Polytechnique and was destined to have a high-flying career in the corporate world, however, the death of my mother when I was 23 drastically reinforced the existential questions from my childhood. I suddenly had this embodied knowledge, rather than a vague intellectual concept, that life was short. That our time was our most precious resource and that every decision only takes its full value in face of death. Every cell of my body, every breath urged me to make the most of my time and explore the mystery of life.

This has led me to an interesting and varied professional life, including employment as a project manager and team leader in an NGO working on international emergencies, musical theatre performer, consultant in strategy and organisation, crêpes maker, yoga teacher, tour operator entrepreneur, and movement director for theatre.

Although I was happy to follow my gut and my heart and had many fascinating experiences, I sometimes felt scattered and pulled in many different directions. However, I realised what was linking all my experiences – both professional and personal - and what I wanted to explore further: the wholeness of our experience, the interconnection between physical sensations, emotions, and thoughts, and the mystery of consciousness.

Training in Transformational Coaching with Animas as well as Embodied Coaching and Neurosciences of Change with Coaches Rising, (all accredited by ICF), helped me structure my life experiences, readings, and questions. I was able to share them and guide people in inner exploration, enabling them to come back to their bodies, to restore their inner fire, and to create a richer and more authentic life.

I see us as living and evolving shapes. Our body, our mind, our heart are different aspects of the same shape. They are not separate; they are a whole and constantly evolving. I see life as a result of the tension between opposites. We do not have to solve this tension, but to find a delicate balance point where we can hold opposites together. I see our imperfection and the imperfection of the world as the ultimate perfection. This is what creates the journey, movement, freedom. Not to be judged, but to be enjoyed!

Hopefully this gives you some insight into what drove me towards Life Coaching, but what about Yoga and Movement Direction for Theatre? I find they are both amazing practices to inquire, feel, express and create. They both played a major role in my understanding of life, in a higher awareness of my body and its intricate connection with my emotions and my thoughts. They make me feel alive and enter a feeling of flow. They naturally led me towards life coaching and nowadays, I find it really hard to dissociate the three of them. Each session of yoga will echo my passion for life coaching and movement and vice versa.

If you’ve made it this far, all I can say is thanks for your interest. I would be really glad to have the opportunity to share with you the lessons I have learned along my journey and to hear yours, whether it be through Life Coaching, Yoga, Movement Direction for theatre or any other form of collaboration!
